*The employment status visualization i decided to create is showing what percentage of people are working in the United States currently.The parameters of people measured is 61. It shows that 16% of people are retired, 44% of people are working, 34% of people are disabled, and 5% of people are simply not working. It was shocking for me to realize that only 44% of the people asked currently held jobs. %5 of the people are simply not even looking for jobs, that was suprising to me as well.
*The national obesity rate from 95 to 2010 is what i decided to embed as this post of many eyes. It was embarrassing to say the least the the national obesity rate increased from roughly 16% to 28% in only 15 years. However, i am not suprised. Obesity seems to grow all around you for many reasons including, cost of health food, lazyiness of people, and technology, in my opinion. When i was a kid, I stayed outside from when i woke up, until basically i went to sleep. Now kids stay home on the weekends to play video games rather than exercise. Youth is growing bigger and less athletic. Personally, i feel as though this will continue to grow and unfortunately, bad health will come with it.
*The last visualization i decided to create showed the 15 most violent cities per 10,000 people. It categorized crimes as "violent" but doesnt exactly say what violent means. According to Forbes, not suprisingly Memphis and Detroit are at the top of the class at over 1,200 violent crimes a piece. I was actually suprised to see Charleston, NC and Little Rock, Ark on this list, and not Atlanta. I guess it has to do with sterotyping but living in Atlanta, I would have atleast expected the city to make the top 15 list. This was an eye opener because 1,200 crimes per 10,000 people seems extremely high, and very unsafe.
